Let’s face it, the lakes are what it’s all about, right? You came to a region that is named after the set of lakes that prevail over the entire territory, so why not enjoy a fantastic meal as close to one as you can get? We have some great options for you to consider.
SENECA HARBOR STATION – Watkins Glen
The village of Watkins Glen is our #1 PRIME COMMUNITIES FOR YOUR FINGER LAKES STAY, and if you’d like to enjoy an outstanding meal along the shores of Seneca Lake there, then Seneca Harbor Station is your spot to do so.
WHERE: As imagined, the restaurant at Seneca Harbor Station is located right along the harbor at the south end of Seneca Lake, where the main drag of the village business life meets the lake. It’s set amidst a bustle of activity of marina life and the ins-and-outs of Captain Bills Cruise Ships (actually a part of the “Seneca Harbor Station” venue). The famous Watkins Glen walking pier is directly off the porch of the restaurant.
STYLE: Upscale menu features with laid back vacation on the lake attire. When you want to eat a great meal and really feel like you are on vacation, this is the place. There are other lakeside dining options that are more serene, but it’s the hustle and bustle of the entire Seneca Harbor experience that helps give you that special “We’re on vacation!” feel.
SPECIALTY: If the family can’t decide between steaks – seafood – pasta – or a touch of Asian, bring them here and everyone will go away happy.
SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW: Inside – on the covered porch – or beachside (often with live music), you’ve got options, each with a view of the lake. And, if you want to truly eat “on the water” they have a fourth option – Captain Bill’s has dining options for their cruise excursions. The restaurant offers a slight cash “discount” from credit card fees, and they have an ATM on property. The lakeside patio and porch areas are very doggie-friendly! Oh, don’t forget to visit “Zoltar”.
